Ultra-Creamy Cinnamon Banana Smoothie

Did you know that avocados are a secret weapon in smoothies? They instantly create a thick, creamy texture without adding any extra flavor! This recipe puts avocados to use (and disguises your daily dose of greens) in a creamy cinnamon smoothie, perfect for a pre-workout snack or a prep-ahead breakfast. With filling whole grain oats, potassium-rich banana and a healthy dose of fats from the avocado, this smoothie packs a nutrition punch without sacrificing flavor. 

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup OR 2 pitted medjool dates
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

​Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender 
and blend until smooth. Serve immediately in a glass, or cool in the fridge overnight to create a smoothie bowl.
