Rankings, social media followings and even the country a tennis player lives in can dictate what level of endorsement contract they sign. Because, as we know, exposure is paramount for brands looking to spend. “Especially in tennis, the first two key points (in a valuable contract) are being young and having success,” says James Beres, agent for Topnotch Management and the man behind the contracts of John Isner, a fellow Forbes contributor. “Then you start working on your social media and getting comfortable with that.”
